About me
My name is Christian Borch Schütze. I was made in the summer of
'91 and grew up in Brønshøj. Around 2015 I moved into a small
Copenhagen apartment in Østerbro, where I have my modest studio
consisting of a desk and an easel that can be tilted flat.
I trained as a chef, qualifying on 14 April 2016, and have made
my living in the kitchen industry ever since. These days I work
part-time in a hospital ward kitchen, and spend my free time at
a sports club and on creative projects in the studio.
Schütze Studio
A new beginning
It all started on 15 January 2025
Table and chairs
Søren stopped by with the shelf at the bottom right on his cargo bike. I still owe him a favour
Filling it up
Room for lots of tools
Projector
So far I've drawn my cityscapes digitally first and projected them onto canvas for maximum precision
Flat
My easel holds the canvas at any angle. And it has wheels too!
Upright
Then the motif was drawn up. This is winter 2025
Lots of masking tape!
Masking tape is a must
4cm!
Deep canvases! Since I don't use frames, the edge gets to be part of the piece
The moon is made of cheese!
And the cloud just can't reach it :-(
2026
It keeps getting messier and messier
And more and more
And even more mess!
Programming
But when it's time to code, you've got to tidy up first!
I love drawing and painting, but in my experience the creative
process more often than not drowns in everyday life and in all
sorts of ideas and thoughts.
I don't get enough done, so now, in the summer of '26, on my
35th birthday, I've started Schütze Studio to give my artistic
and creative work a proper outlet.
I hope it's the missing piece I've needed to work the way — and
with the seriousness — that I imagine a productive artist would.
